Cobalus' story is both a testimony to human resilience and to the strength that people can draw from a life devoted to art.
Cobalus (Andreas Valkenborgh) is a retired arts education- and aesthetics teacher, currently living in the charming city of Peer (Limburg, Belgium). For the most part of his life he had to deal with physical and mental ailments, resulting in multiple surgeries and a number of chronic complaints. His passion for painting gave him the strength to face these hardships.
We wish to support him through this project and show him that the world appreciates his work and values his resilience as he is yet again forced to re-invent himself.
Ever since Cobalus started painting, he found his 'joie de vivre' (joy of living) again. This newly discovered muze after an early, unwanted retirement gave birth to a vast collection of over 300 works of art - all created in a span of less than two decades.
Cobalus considers his paintings both a magnum opus and a personal diary. You will find his story, heart and soul reflected in each individual painting.
You can find an overview of his collections below. Auctions will include works of art of multiple collections - with no chronological, nor thematic coherence.

The team consists of two people - Cobalus himself (the artist), and myself - his son-in-law taking care of the website, communication and crypto shenanigans (luckily I'm a crypto enthousiast and been around since 2017).
In all honesty, I'm a big fan of the Tezos ecosystem and strongly support its vision and community. Hosting our project on Objkt.com is a no-brainer because I want to contribute to its growth - even if it's only a minor ripple in the sea of innovation that is currently taking place.

It's not merely a matter of selling paintings, but we are convinced that NFT's are the next big thing in the world of art. Using them as a certificate of authenticity and a title deed will be taught in art class several decades from now.

Shipping costs are due prior to actual shipment. This can be settled via crypto ($xtz), bank transfer, PayPal or any other legit service of (y)our choosing.
There will be a 10% royalty on each consecutive sale. Please be transparant towards potential new buyers regarding shipping costs (included/excluded).
